Townfoot Byre is a charming countryside retreat, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. the location is ideal for hiking enthusiasts, with plenty of scenic trails nearby. the building itself may be a bit dated, but the rooms are spacious and stylish, with comfortable beds and modern amenities like a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. The highlight of our stay was the warm hospitality of host Alun, who went out of his way to ensure we had a fantastic experience. the breakfast provided was not to our liking, but we found it easy to pick up some items from a local shop for a DIY meal. Overall, Townfoot Byre offers good value for money, with clean and well-equipped rooms and the added bonus of access to a leisure center/spa. the narrow driveway and steep stairs may be challenging for some guests, but the peaceful surroundings and top-notch service make it a worthwhile choice for a relaxing getaway.
